Use this tag for questions about the Multi Material Upgrade from Prusa Research

The Multi Material Upgrade is an additional part that can be placed on top of a Prusa i3 printer to allow printing in multiple colors. Several iterations of the MMU exist (MMU1, MMU2.0 and MMU2S).

Compared to the MMU1 (first generation of the Multi Material Upgrade), the MMU2S went through a major revision, resulting in a simpler and more reliable design. The number of simultaneously supported filaments increased to the total of five, which enables the users to print even more complex and more colorful objects.

MMU2S comes with a redesigned body, new filament sensor, filament buffer and a new filament loading mechanism. Instead of the previous Bowden system, the new unit uses a direct-drive feed and a single PTFE tube to lead the selected filament to the extruder. The motorized selector head has a F.I.N.D.A filament sensor and a built-in blade, which prevents filament jamming.

MMU2S continued print after filament swap faillure

I had an odd failure case today. I've been trying to print a successful model with my newly installed MMU2S on a MK3S+ - specifically this one which seems to be a popular first print. https://www.printables.com/model/2364-sheep-multi-material Before…
